Fixed Line Wholesale Plans

For eligible premises, fast wholesale nbn speeds are even faster. We’ve accelerated the speeds across our three highest wholesale residential speed tiers on Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) and Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC) connections. These accelerated speeds are available to participating phone and internet providers, who are empowered to make the speeds available to their eligible  customers.

*Speeds listed are wholesale speeds. They represent the maximum speeds nbn provides to internet providers. Where a wholesale speed tier is expressed as a range, the range represents the potential maximum speed nbn provides to internet providers. The maximum speed may fall anywhere in the range and the lower limit of the range does not represent minimum speed. Speeds close to 1Gbps: Regardless of the retail service you purchase, the actual wholesale download speeds delivered to providers will be less than 1Gbps due to equipment and network limitations.

§Speeds listed are wholesale speeds. Actual speeds experienced, including during the busy period, may be significantly lower. Speeds listed for Fixed Wireless Plus refer to the potential maximum information rate in optimal conditions (the speeds achievable may be significantly lower). A Fixed Wireless Plus service may never reach the potential maximum information rate and various factors such as your location and if you have upgraded your equipment will influence the potential maximum wholesale speeds available. The potential maximum wholesale speeds for Fixed Wireless Basic l and Fixed Wireless Basic ll apply during both peak (7pm – 11pm) and off-peak periods (11pm –7pm).

^Your experience, including the speeds actually achieved, depends on the configuration over which services are delivered to your premises, whether you are using the internet during the busy periods, and some factors outside of nbn’s control (like your equipment quality and set-up, chosen broadband plan, age of device(s) and/or how your provider designs its network). The activities supported by each nbn speed tier may also be impacted by a number of factors (and could be degraded depending on the number of people online at the same time, and your nbn access technology). Activities and timeframes described are based on testing conducted in nbn product labs of nbn wholesale HFC and FTTP products, at the retail level based on the peak achievable speed of that speed tier.

#Service availability including timing will depend on phone and internet providers offering nbn Hyperfast and is subject to service qualification.

ΔWhere a timeframe is expressed as a range, the lower end of the range shows the fastest timeframes achievable during off-peak periods, and the upper end of the range shows the typical wholesale busy period speed timeframe achievable during peak periods (7pm - 11pm). Actual timeframes experienced by an end user to download or upload files may be longer than those stated.

&nbn does not guarantee that plans on Sky Muster Plus Premium will achieve burst wholesale upload speeds of up to 10Mbps. Faster upload speeds are subject to network capacity and your equipment.

To proactively protect and ensure the fair access to the nbn network for all users, nbn may from time to time, at its discretion, shape the following activities to maximum wholesale upload and download speeds of 256kbps; uploads and downloads via peer to peer; uploads and downloads to cloud storage platforms; PC and smartphone operating system updates; software/application updates; gaming software updates; any other traffic related to applications which nbn cannot identify. Other activity that nbn considers may cause adverse network impacts may also be added to the above list to be shaped, including streaming video and VPN.
