The start of your internet experience
Let’s take it back to where the nbn network first connects to your home or business – your nbn connection box.
Your nbn connection box
Your connection begins with your nbn connection box. Also called a Network Termination Device (NTD), your connection box acts as a modem, sending and receiving signals across the nbn network, and connecting to your Wi-Fi router via an Ethernet cable.
Your router then takes the data received from the connection box and distributes it as a signal around your home or business (via Wi-Fi, a wired connection, or both), so that your devices can connect to the internet.

Preparing for an nbn full fibre connection?
Getting an nbn full fibre connection over Fibre to the Premises (FTTP)? It’s important to understand where it can be installed and if you’ll be able to connect and place your Wi-Fi router in a location that suits the layout of your home or business.
