Connectivity helping Aussies give this festive season

5-minute read

Looking for a meaningful gift to give this festive season? Why not take a leaf out of our employees’ books with these feel-good pressies just a few clicks away…

At nbn, we’re committed to making the nation a better place through our work in helping to lift the digital capability of Australia, making a positive difference in our communities, and caring for our environment.

As part of this, our employees are encouraged to volunteer their time and expertise to activities that foster digital and social inclusion through our nbn™ Giving program.

We also encourage our people to give back by donating and raising funds to help others less fortunate. Through the nbn™ Giving program – which is internal – nbn employees can make single or regular donations to charities of their choice.

With more than 1,000 respected Australian charities listed, employees can quickly find the organisations and causes that most resonate with their values and interests.

“Employee research told us our people wanted choice when it comes to donating to a charity,” says Sally Kincaid, Chief People and Culture Officer at nbn.

“That’s why we worked with GoodCompany to develop our portal to make it easy for our people to volunteer and donate to the charity of their choice. Together we can make a big difference.”

This list of suggested gift ideas can be supported by anyone keen to back worthy causes this season while warming the heart of friends and family. While there are many other worthy causes, this list is inspired by some of the charities that nbn employees regularly support.
